Cancer Care Foundation: Mission
Cancer Care Foundation is a nonprofit, 501 c(3) organization that provides free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved. Cancer Care Foundation programs including counseling and support groups, education, financial assistance and practical help are provided by professional oncology social workers and are completely free of charge. Founded in 2006, Cancer Care Foundation has been providing individuals with help and expects to reach-out to tens of thousands in the coming months and years..Our Services
All of Cancer Care's Foundation services are provided completely free of charge.
Counseling
Oncology social workers help you find ways to cope with the emotional and practical challenges of cancer. Available in person or over the phone.
Support Groups
Connect with other people who are in a similar situation in our free support groups led by professional oncology social workers.
Telephone Education Workshops
Leading experts in oncology provide up-to-date information in these free, one-hour workshops over the telephone. Listen in live to learn about cancer-related issues from the convenience of your home or office. Also available as podcasts.
Publications
Our free booklets and fact sheets offer up-to-date, easy-to-read information about the latest treatments, managing side effects, and coping with cancer.
Financial Help
Our staff helps you manage financial concerns and provides referrals. Limited aid is available to eligible families for cancer-related costs like, treatments, transportation and child care.
Education
Cancer Care Foundation helps people with all types of cancer.
Specialized Programs
Cancer Care Foundation for Children focuses on the needs of parents with cancer and children who are coping with a diagnosis of a family member. Cancer Care Foundation also offers programs for caregivers, young adults, men and women's cancers, post-treatment survivors, and the bereaved.
Other Services
Cancer Care Foundation also provides community workshops, therapeutic activities, and special events throughout the year.
